This is my first post featuring animation as a topic instead of WordPress. A good portion of my classes in college involved traditional drawing and animation - so although I chose a different path in life after graduating, animation will always be an beloved interest of mine. I hope to share some of that love with all my readers.
The first memory I have of Charlie Brown is the holiday season, when the tree is up at Rockefeller Center, Macy’s has their array of beautifully crafted dioramas as their store windows, and holiday specials were replaying throughout my entire winter recess. These specials included titles like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and of course, A Charlie Brown Christmas.
I remember seeing the characters all over bags, stickers, and the occasional short comic strip. Although as a kid, I’d never faithfully gotten into Charlie Brown, the Christmas special is the only Peanuts cartoon that I watched faithfully, every year it was on. It’s a memory I’m fond of, and to my surprise, it looks like Charlie Brown will be returning in 3D form, animated by Blue Sky Studios.
I hope that you enjoy the Peanuts movie trailer as much as I did, although it’s just a teaser, it makes me remember the holidays. My childhood is coming back to me - and I love it. Enjoy the teaser and have a happy Saturday.
